Song, Ngl and Lexis, congratulations and welcome to HCI!Hello Lexis and ngl2010! So happy that our boys will be school/class mates!

It is good idea to buy your books and uniform before Monday to avoid the long queue. Before you go down, maybe you can call the bookshop about their operating hours and availability of uniform and books.
Lisheng books: 64623240. It is located next to the High School canteen.
For uniform, I think it is safe to get 3 sets and 2 sets for PE. They may need more PE uniform if they join sports CCA. Anyway, they can buy more sets at the bookshop themselves during term time. -
Thanks, wonderm.
Weβre looking forward to sec school! -
My ds will be in Sec1 next year. We already bought the books a few days ago and found out that the books are super heavy as compare to the primary school books.
Do they need to bring them to school every day? Will the teacher use the textbook every lesson? Thanks! -

For my boys, there weren't many books in the booklist anyway.
Higher Chinese textbook: this was required. not used in every lesson but at times, the teacher asked them to bring to class.
Language Arts books: this list was required. They didn't need to bring all of them to school for every lesson, but they needed to read all the books. There were also assignments related to the books.
Maths textbooks: no need to bring to school but some maths homework was assigned from the book and/or workbook.
History/Geography textbooks: experience from my 2 boys were different but I think they were used if in booklist, although not for every lesson.
Science textbooks/softcopy: not used in class, only for self reference.
The above were from my boys' past experiences, may or may not apply for next year. Just for your reference. -
Hi, I'm Amelia from The Straits Times. I'm working on a story about the Sec 1 school posting results today. Would like to speak to anyone whose child got into an IP school, appreciate if you could contact me at [email protected], or 91903116. If you could get back to me asap, that'd be great!

Yes, I purchased all except the optional items (including all the exercise books, writing pad etc.). The book shop staff already packed them together.
