Thanks, Sembgal. Hmmm.... the Math and Science books are very diff from those used by DS' current school.......[/quote]CHS is using its own Math materials (Math Plus), supplemented with My Pals Are Here Workbooks. Don't buy the MPH textbooks, as the teachers don't use them in class..

For Science, the boys are using Vitaminz booklets, supplemented with the i-series science textbooks & workbooks, and study notes..

Need expertise advice from CHP parents. My boy will be transferred to CHP P4 next year. Regarding CCA, if he takes up string ensemble, will he be screen before deciding which instruments to play or have we got to inform school prior to transfer? Our concern is, will he be allow to choose other CCA if he fails to master it? How is the training like? Once a week or twice a week? Another concern is, the focus of the school. Will all P6 classes been given the same attention from the school during the preparation of PSLE or school only concentrate on GEP & top class? Thanks

The Booklist is not posted online. You can take a look at it at the school bookshop, if you don't mind making a trip to the school.

You should be receiving news of the outcome of your transfer anytime from now. I recall receiving a call from Mr Lee, sometime end of Nov (3 years ago)..

Dear Firefly and parents

Good news! DS is accepted into the CHP family. Mr Lee is finally back from leave last Thu/ Fri and we received an sms from the school on Friday afternoon that he is accepted. Immediately went to collect the Accpetance form and over the weekend got the textbooks and uniform. This morning went to the current school to get the transfer form signed and he is going to P4 Charity ! Finally all the weeks of anxiety is over.

One thing I am very confused is that at first the lady at GO told us that there is no more streaming in CHP. So when I asked where is my boy going to report on the first day of school, she said he can go to the class first. I shared that he wont know where to sit and might be sitting at someone's seat. She said no because the pupils are all mixed, meaning P3 Charity doesnt necessarily go to P4 Charity. She then said that there is a change of class at P3, P4 and P5 and then P6 will follow the same class as P5. So every year the boys keep changing classes? Isnt that creating a lot of admin work and confusion for parents and pupils?

DS is going to continue with volleyball. Hope he can get into that CCA.

Hi PinkKimono, my boy from 2 Charity to 3 kindness next year...might meet you in some of the activities next year...he also told me he was randomly allocated, but I remember just weeks ago he told me the teacher say there he can go to \"good\" class if he do well...come to think of it now, it could be encourage them to study hard...
