Hello everybody,

I have a rather \"sensitive\" question here if anybody can share with me? I had read many parents commented \"never regretted to send my dd to St Nick\" or students commented \"never regretted to study in St nick\" because of their family oriented environment and moreover now it's a top sec IP school somemore. Alot of parents are so desperate to send their dd in even for primary level so as to easily afflicted to secondary level...until ......I was very concerned when recently my friend commented that St Nick is a bad environment as it is famous for its openly lesbian environment. I would like anybody who can share with me is this true or just their jealously comments? I know most schools, not only girls school, are bound to have some lesbian; but to be openly lesbian and the most lesbian school? Is it true?

I can understand yr concern.
But let me reassure you that Nothing of what your so called friend told you is true.
It is not true. Don't believe it.
Yes, St Nicks really have this family oriented environment...like 1 Big Family..
Your friend is not from St Nicks right?

Hi Crester,

Thank you so much for your feedback & assurance! Yup, you are right! my friend is not from St Nicks. And I think she is just jealous. She even commented you want your dd go \"top School\" environment or you want for her good character school environment? Somemore the bad-mounting she claimed was from her collegues' son who commented that the girls were slut! The only thing that crossed my mind was :\"hmm...maybe their son wants to court the girls there but were rejected by them. And the girls resort into this method, told them they were lesbians\" just to get rid of the boys\" lah!
No worries.
So your friend heard from her friend....not reliable source.
All such talks abt SNG that's nothing concrete not worth worrying over.

Yes. We have to discerning in what we hear.

There are also some baseless assertions about St Nicks in the other PSLE Results thread, comparing to another girl school starting with \"C\".

Not sure what is their motives or is because they are jealous of St Nicks performance.

All I know is that my DD is growing up to be a all rounder; confident, polite and independent under the IP program with caring teacher and a dynamic principal.

Ganjiongspider:
Hello everybody,

Yup, you are right! Those speculating & badmounting St Nick were just jealous pathetic pple. We knew that St Nick is already popular even without now the status of IP programme. Now we feel even prouder if you or yr dd can get in to this prestige school. Cheers to St Nick!

My dd & I are very happy she will be joining SNGS IP next year.

Can any parents with girls currently in the IP programme share about the usual time table? The VP did mention that after official school hours there may be enrichment or supplementary lessons as well.

Regarding the Lit books, should we get the girls to read them before school starts? Dd is still is lazing-around mode... πŸ˜›

Feeling really excited.

thanks!

I'm sure yr dd will have an enriching learning experience under the caring SNG teachers' guidance.
As for yr Lit query, can read the Lit books leisurely. Treat it as a story book.

My dd comes home different times of the week.

On days when she does not have enrichment or supplementary, she is dismissed around 1-2pm. Otherwise, it will be around 3-4pm.

On CCA days, she is usually dismissed at 6pm.

As for Literature, she can just read it as a story book.....Is your dd using Catherine Lim's Lightning god ?

Hi… can I have some advice? My dd is worry that she can’t cope with 3rd language that she is offered. She is still considering if she should register for it. Is it manageable? She is in IP class.
