Ds finished animal farm today too. Will hint to him to try starting on CL books tomorrow... šŸ˜“

He finished it too! Yay! :rahrah: He read very fast!

DS will not touch any book tomorrow. He usually will argue if we ask him to study on public holiday :faint:

I like you being around. Keep my son on his toes. Hahaha....

How is the traffic at Bt Timah in the morning? What time do we need to arrive there to avoid the traffic?

            TIA

              Hi travel mummy

Car decal form is in the folder. It's an application for a car decal for entry into hci to pick/drop ds when school reopens.

We also applied for MSP and the folder contained a letter from moe saying we were successful and that the school will provide details in due course.

Other documents in the folder incl a giro form and some student info card and dental consent form. But I think these can be submitted later when Sch reopens except for giro which is 30 dec.

The staff also gave out the LEP form to those boys who qualified (I think it's Tscore 259 and above, a* for CL). Criteria stated on he pink piece of paper in the folder.

              Hope that helps!
              Hi lexis or parents,
Can you please share more about LEP? Is it an additional subject that requires additional time after school? Does this go to calculating MSG? Sorry as I have not seen the orientation package so I am not sure if it is already explained in one of the papers.

Any seniors / parents who are taking this subject to share your experiences?
              Thank you!

In the past, they have additional afternoon lesson (once a week) for LEP. About inclusion in msg calculation, it is best to check with the school because the exact policy may vary from year to year. But it is safe to say, it cannot replace any of the 6 compulsory subjects in msg calculation.

My boys din take LEP but some of their friends took it. Those who took it seem to enjoy it. The drop out rate appears to be much less than 3rd language drop out rate. Just my impression from those I heard about.

Bukit Timah Road is not a big problem in terms of traffic. There are a lot of cars but there are rarely any jams.

                    Merry Christmas to all!

Thanks so much, lexis, for the info. Sounds like we can deal with all these after we get home. What does LEP stand for? DS meets the T score criteria but only scored A for CL and merit for HCL so not sure if he will make it. Either which way, I think he has enough subjects to keep him busy...LEP sounds like some learning enhancement thingy for Chinese?

Hi ngl2010, no we are not one of the twins. Wouldn't know how to cope with another clone of my ds, so thank goodness he is just one of a kind! šŸ˜„ That one with a pair is another mummy whose kids have chosen to DSA into RI.
