Besides obvious places, you may need to be creative and try some nooks and crevices - like sanitary napkins pack / inside body powder bottle etc… some creative places that I heard others have found money hidden in.

Really, it's very difficult to find the missing money. It could even be elsewhere in the house, not just in her room eg in the storeroom ? Or she could tumpang a neighbour's maid.

We must try to remember to keep our wallets etc in a safe place where she has less opportunity to help herself to our money.

Someone I know once did this when she found some money missing: told the maid the money's missing/ misplaced and ask the maid to help look for it.
-> the maid \"found\" the money :rotflmao: :rahrah: May not work if your maid is a hard-core case though.

Install cameras in the house, or buy those dummy black cameras from Mustafa…

What is the timing for day off?

Cos my maid will come home 9plus. And what is the timing to wake up every morning cos she wakes up at 8am which is different from the previous maid.

              Janis

Think all countries have good maids, depending on the needs of the family. If you can't communicate in Malay but is comfortable with delegating, best to have a Filipino. My Filipino maid plans what to cook daily and does the grocery shopping at Giant. It also depends if you like to have a smart maid or one that just follows instructions. If you want a smart maid, be prepared that they will have FB, what's app, etc. I communicate with my maid using what's app. E.g if there is anything extra-ordinary that the kids need to pack for school, I will snap a photo of the requirements and get her to prepare for my review. Or if I need to buy anything I see from the Giant or NTUC ad, I can also take a pic of the item and get her to buy it.

But if you are not comfortable with your maid using mobile, better get someone from Mymmar or Indonesia, who is generally technologically less savvy.

I think it depends on your needs. What is of priority? Childcare?, Elderly care or household chores?

In terms of nationality, it all depends on luck. I've heard good maids as well as not so good ones from different nationalities. I think the maid's character and upbringing is important and I understand its v hard to determine it via face to face (web cam) or telephone interviews.

However, I feel what you can do is get the maid in but you must set clear expectations and guidelines, including frequent feedback on performance. Thereafter through observations to slowly suss out the maid's personality and character.

                      GOOD LUCK. :xedfingers:

I am comfortable with timing but I am only upset when she told mi that she will be back at 5pm then return at 9 plus. Then again 7pm and return at 10pm. And the last one is suppose 7pm and she return and 10.30pm. This is getting later and later.
