Hi parents,
My ds will be in sec 2 next year and I can tell he is enjoying school so yes, I second that TKSS is a good school. Going to school is not just about getting good results, it is also about character building and having wonderful times and memories with your peers and teachers … When they graduate in few years later, they can stand up proud and tell others "we are from TKSS." -
It is great to hear all the good reviews on tkss. Am glad all parents here made the right choice for our kids.
During orientation days, will your kids be wearing pri sch pe attire or tk pe attire? I noticed on the orientation booklet there is one day stating wet attire, anyone has any idea what is this? -
If I remembered correctly and if it’s still the same as this year, I think they can wear their pri school pe attire. As for the program, sorry I can’t remember what they have but my ds enjoyed the orientation days and day 3 has a campfire nite if next year programme is still same as this year. I attended TK Nite this year and there was slide show on what the kids did on orientation days.

Which class is your ds assigned to? Wow it sure is a big surprise for him. So he was from Maris stella pri? I believe he will be adapting well to tkss. From the review I gathered online, current students and ex students , tkss is a very good school and teachers are supportive n friendly. You dont hv to worry unduly.Jackmummy:
No. My son will be Sec 1 in 2014 at TKSS.
In fact my Ds didn't know that we chosen TKSS for him. He got to know it only when we told him he is posted to TKSS. He has never been to this school till registration date. So far no big complaint but he was a bit disappointed as never seen any of his primary schoolmate. He is kinda peer group type.

Not too sure either. But the kids dont have tk pe attire yet except for the shorts. Thats why they have to wear their pri pe attire. But do they have to report to school in tk school uniform? Or their pri school uniform? It is great to hear all the good reviews on tkss. Am glad all parents here made the right choice for our kids.

Can anyone enlighten us? -
Just checked with my ds. Sec one to wear their pri sch pe attire as they do not have your TK pe t shirt yet as they have not been assigned their house colour yet. Thanks.

Looks like we already have kids in the same class, my ds is in 1G too.
By the way, any one knows how they group the kids into their various classes? Is it by Tscore? -

My son was allocated to Group 7 on the registration day. Are they arrange the class by T-score?
leeandlow:
Any parents with child in class 1g?
My daughter will b in 1G.
My son was also in group 7 which is class 1g. I dont think they arranged the class by t score. My son's ex classmate having lower t score than him is in another class which is in front of his class. My son t score is 239. How about your girl and son? Stitchy and leessang.
Hello all,
My daughter is in the same Group 7 (1G?) as well. First time for us at TKSS during the registration. Look forward to share more information with all. We plan to join their CCA Day, and the TK1 night to know more about the school.
We live in Pasir Ris. Not sure which route shd b shortest time :-
(1) Pasir Ris MRT ==> Paya Lebar MRT ==> take bus to Tg Katong Rd (but hv to walk further)
(2) Pasir Ris MRT ==> Paya Lebar MRT ==> Dakota ==> Take bus to TKSS (side gate).
We spoke to a few students, they mentioned the time used to travel by bus fr Paya Lebar MRT to TG Katong Rd, and walk to TKSS, is almost the same with Paya Lebar MRT transfer to Dakota and take bus to TKSS.
Maybe should also try out another route :-
(3) Take bus fr Pasir Ris to Serangoon MRT ==> to Dakota ==> bus to TKSS. Will try and see if the time will b shorter.
We are from PR too, great to know there is another PR resident
We will be taking bus 81 to Serangoon station ==> Dakota ==> bus. BUT maybe we can car pool?? -
I will bring my boy to explore the fastest route on Tuesday…hopefully the journey is not too long for him.

One of the orientation days needs to wear wet attire, anyone knows what is it? Thanks.
