My son is struggling with his A Maths. His A Maths grade for SA1 is 12.5. I am considering letting him drop the subject. My question is - how important is A Maths for entrance to JC Science stream?

He is also weak in his E Maths, 42.5 for SA1. I’m thinking if he drops A Maths, he can spend more time to improve on his E Maths and other subjects. Any advice or thoughts will be greatly appreciated.
