Hi, does anyone have any contact for private mini van operators to HCI fr Serangoon / Lorong Ah Soo area?


I have called the Gen Office and HCI doesn't have official bus operators. However, it kindly provided a contact based on feedback from parents but the bus uncle is not able to provide the transport as he mentioned that there's a shortage of mini vans due to high COE.

Hi. When we were at HCI, there is bus transportation booth at the canteen. Somebody also handed out name cards in front of the auditorium. Here are the numbers found in the name card:

School Bus Transport Services 6547 4197
Chan Hian Yong Jonathan 9474 3637
Lim Kok How 9237 6510

Hi, today is my ds’s first day orientation in HCI. He went through quite a number of trials for cca, but became quite confused.

How do HCI select students for cca? He must be good at certain cca first before being selected? Help! thanks in advance!

Were there even trials?? My son said he out his name down and they will call him to let him know abt the trials. Also said he didn't sign up for something he wanted to try for....


I saw that they still have cca orientation 2 and 3 when school starts in January - could that be when you sign up for trials. Or are those the trials??

On a related note, he said he had fun but it was very tiring :oops: . He's looking forward to tomorrow though! I was so happy to see him chanting the cheers to me cos he was smiling all the way. :rahrah:

The next round of orientation should be with their respective consortium, those are not CCA trials.


CCA trials are usually conducted in the afternoon (after orientation period, during first few weeks of term 1). It is important to ask your boys to check EMB (online system for the boys to check any notification meant for them) EVERY DAY. Some of the CCA trials info will be disseminated via EMB. Alternatively if your DS has left his name with those CCAs during orientation, the seniors may contact them via email or hand phone.

At the end of trial period, all Sec 1 boys will be asked to fill in their choice of CCA (6 choices). They will be allocated according to their preference as well as whether they are chosen by that CCA. Just like Sec 1 posting, if your DS is not happy with the posted CCA, he can appeal. :evil:
