Hi, can anyone suggest anywhere near Tokyo where we can experience some snow in mid december? We wont be skiing and would not like to travel too far north to hokkaido. Thanks in advance.

You can try Appi Kogen.Been there some times back to enjoy the snow.
You can check out the snow reports from their web site before going there. So you will not be disappointed.

              Hi

We are planning to visit Tokyo Disneyland and maybe other nearby places in Japan in Dec with our kids 5, 7, 9

It's our first time to Japan.

I wonder if December is a good time? Will it be too cold? Does it snow?

What other activities/ things should we do when there?

Anyone been to Japan with young kids can share your experiences.

              Thank you

              🙂

                Good choice!

You may want to pop by Disney Sea.

There's a KidZania in Tokyo as well.

Odaiba rainbow bridge is nice for photos day and night. Decks shopping mall has a huge Sega Joypolis amusement centre and Lego discovery centre. Can go Yokohama for the outdoor amusement park and memorial ship.

                Try their Yoshinoya. Best!

Enjoy and remember to post photos of your trip here!

Thinking of going Tokyo in early Jun for 6 days. Family will be there for the first time.

Any recommendations for stay? Thinking of going to a "homestay or B&B" type… those highlighted in tripadvisor… Will also go for disney and sightseeing…

You can either take train to Maihama station from Bayside Station or hotel shuttle. From Maihama it takes 15 mins by train to Hatchobori on Keiyo Line. Then transfer to Hibiya line. It is 3 stops (5 minutes) to Ginza. Considering transfers, it should take you 50-60 mins from Sheraton to Ginza.
