      Thanks lil_jade for replying!

Yes, I m rather blur. was not aware that \"books to be handed in\" means books to bring. I thought initially those are books to be handed to my gal by the teacher. I m now packing the bag but I dun seem to see any \"wide single line exercise book\" in my box of books or in the book list... It is not referring to the \"A6 blue note book\", right? and shaping maths to bring activity book only? No need the coursebook? Really appreciate if someone could enlighten me.

I got her a non trolley bag. normal pencil since there is a mention of sharpener. Decided to get those colour pencils later after finding out more. Trying to keep things as light - weight as possible..

Counting down in 1hour and 7 mins....

      🙂
I didn't see the wide single line exercise book too. Hubby asked me if we did not buy. I checked through booklist that we bought everything so cannot be we forgot to buy that wide single line exercise book. I think the Orientation file has another error again. I told my husband to ignore that book as book list not indicated to buy though Orientation file indicated to bring on first day.

The bag is heavy after packing all the essential items to be brought to school on first day. Hubby said to take out half of the books and pass the remaining to teacher on another day. I told him tomorrow's bag load is just 'appetizer', there is even heavier load to carry once timetable is out.

My DD said she will wait for teacher to remind class to drink water and then she will drink. I don't know to laugh or to cry. She still think primary school is like kindergarten mode. Haha. I believe she will have a very interesting and exciting day on her first day of school.

Finally sent DD to school. Principal, vice-principals and teachers were there at foyer to welcome the P1girls. I have seen my DD’s form teacher. I know my DD is in safe hands. I’m pleased with how organized the staff receive the new girls.

Most children loaded into school bus by 6.15pm already. About 6.45pm bus left school. Road jam because peak hour. Waiting for DD to reach home and we go celebrate her first day of school by treating her to a big meal;)

How to know which route the bus driver use if you have no intention to follow the driver? Pass an iPhone to the child and let child keep in bag. iPhone has a function called Find iPhone. Use that function and from the parents' iPhones, can track where is the location of the child when the child is on school bus. Talk about technology 🙂

Love the Find iPhone function. I can track where is my child on the school bus now 🙂

Hi, anyone has any idea is it pinafore or PE attire for One Compassion today? I did not find my gal’s time-table in her bag yesterday. Most probably Mrs Robert will give out to them today. Thanks.

                    Hi Mutree & Freellie,

My gal is in 1 Compassion too. :hi5: So nice to know another mummies from the class.

My gal is very happy with her first day at school. Thanks to all helpful mummies here for info on preparing for 1st day!

I was also wondering that timetable is not given out yet? So looks like she'll wear pinafore again today. There's also a note to fill up the pupil profile form with our email address, but I think we have filled up on Orientation day? Or did I miss something?

Hi Freellie, I saw from the time-table that my child got back from school yesterday, if it states PE/HE, does it means PE or HE? It is not specified. I called the office to check. Someone said if there is indication PE/HE, wear PE attire. But what if today's lesson is HE and not PE? I think I let my child wear PE attire to school. Why? Because if she wears pinafore, she can't take part in PE but if she wears PE attire, she can still take part in HE or PE whatever they have today.

Office staff said Modular Curriculum is compulsory to wear PE attire. Maybe parents should check with DD's teacher for more clarification on specific days to wear PE attire/pinafore.

By the way, I hope other parents have purchased <好品德 好公民 >textbook, <好品德 好公民 >Activity book and \"An Active and Healthy Me\" health education book from bookshop yesterday. Stock has arrived and is on sale already and was previously unavailable.

I called the office and the admin lady told me to let her wear pinafore if she did not get her time-table. Cross my fingers that there is really no PE lesson today for her class.

Yup, we filled in the forms on orientation day. Anyway, I indicated my email address on the reply slip and crossed out the two sentences. Should work fine I suppose.
