Thk you so much!ilovelaksa:
Hi, my dd hv to be in sch by 6.35am/6.40am as she is the first drop off. She is worried there's no one there.
Dont worry about tht because there will be students in by 6.40. I personally reach school between 6.45 to 7am and when my father drops me off I'm in school at about 6.20am and there are some people aroud. If the classrooms are not open she can choose to sit at the canteen, foyer area or at any benches. Classrooms are usually opened by 6.50 am and usually sec one classes are opened first. -

Hi, ilovelaksa and livewithvanilla!
Hi there,
When I was in sec one I didnt choose to take part in modern dance audi just sat outside dance studio and waited
should still be the case I think
Third lang is usually on One of the days with a short day if im not wrong. If theres any clashes, your dd can talk to her ft but I think she will be advised to change to another day (if im not wrong there are two days to choose from for 3rd lang)
Maybe some other parents can better advise because I dont take third lang but my friends who do take it on a thursday!
Thanks for the advice! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the timings won't clash - hopefully she can get into the cca of her choice. Sec school seems really hectic! Looks like Chinese tuition and piano lessons will have to be scheduled for weekends. -
Hi, my ds1 was rt. Dd1 had a fantabulous time at orientation today. It was her first experience with cheering and she was burstg with excitement n joy talkg bout them. Hope the rest of S1 Cedarians had an enjoyable time too. She canβt wait for tommβs water activities.

MT stand for Mother Tongue.
CSP stand for Chinese Special Program
MSP stand for Malay Special Program -

MT(CSP/MSP) refers to those who take CSP or MSP as third lang
Your dd will have an electives briefing soon. Looking at her timetable, its should be this term.

Hi! We have various rooms that can be used as dance studios and for CCAs, some good CCAs are Track & Field, Choir, UG to name a few. Most of our CCAs do quite well! For the 2 bonus points, it's not only due to CCA but what activites you take part in during the 4 years of Sec school. -

Cedar UGs (Red Cross, Girl Guides, NPCC, NCC) have all attained respective gold unit awards for consecutive years and the standard of UGs in Cedar ia very high.
Cedar's strong ccas also include track and field and choir. However, all our other performing arts group such as band, guzheng, eldds etc and sports ccas like volleyball, badminton etc have all done well as well
Clubs and societies are also fun to join and you can build portfolios and learn new skills as well.
All CCAs are good ccas and it really depends on your interests and mindset
The 2 point bonus comes from having gotten a distinction grade for CCA. It is quite easy to get the 2 points bonus so long you max out your 100hours CIP (esp easy to get in UGs I feel) and participate actively in cca and school activities.
