hello_change:
I know of a friend's daughter who switched from RGS to ACSI at year 5, think it's something like DSA.Hello guys,
I am a IP student currently going on to Year 4 next year. I am not exactly a huge fan of the IB programme (dont ask me why i just dont like it). I would rather take the a levels instead. So I am planning to go to RJC/NJC etc for JC1. So my question is, is it possible for a IP student to change school at JC1? (I was not DSAed to ACSI) Also, will i be disadvantaged in the application process since I am in the IP stream? I scored pretty well this year with a overall of more 40 points but lesser than 43 points (sorry dont want to tell my exact score since some might figure out who I am) and was also in the top 10% of the cohort and top 10 in my class. (which I consider an achievement given that most people in my class are GEP geniuses). So what are my chances in getting to JCs? Does anyone know of people who have made this switch? What are my chances of doing so? Any help would be greatly appreciated
So there should be similar path the other way round.
You probably need to DSA into the JC that you like. -
Happy New Year to all!! Excited about a new beginning at ACSI. Good luck to all students and parents :rahrah: .

Seems like year 1 there are 8 o level classes and 6 ib classes. Is that the norm?
-
I think there are only 4 IB classes this year. 1.01-1.10 are express and 1.11-1.14 are the IB classes. Correct me if Iām wrong.checked with the admin and the class and name list will be posted outside the office tomorrow.

Oh. Then ds must hv told me the wrong stuff. He told me 1.09 -1.14 are ib classes. He was more interested in the canteen food. :faint:

Just been informed by my son that their year 3 OEP trip has been changed from Chiang Mai to Vietnam.
Good that the school takes the situation in Thailand into consideration and decided against taking unnecessary risk at the present time of unrest.
Most parents will feel more at least with their kids in Vietnam than in Thailand at this period of time. -
Hello-latest update. 6 IB classes startung from 1.09-1.14.

Anyone in 1.13?

Reconfirmed with DS. Yes correct 1.09-1.14 are IB classes. The rest O level classes. Anyone knows how are they grouped together? T-score? -

1.09 & 1.10 are likely to be SBGE classes comprising of GEP students with about 5 or 6 mainstreamers in each class. Letters will be sent to parents of these mainstreamers stating that they are allocated to SBGE classes due to good PSLE scores. (But I've seen higher scorers in my elder son's batch in 2010 in the other IP classes).Jeju17:

The rest of the classes are allocated at random.
To all yr1s & the mummies n daddies, enjoy ACSI. The school calendar is dotted with so many non-academic events that in a blink of the eye, the school year will be over!
