      Toralina:
noted there are no sci textbooks for my dd this year (she is in the IP program, sec 1 this year). Hope some of the experienced parents can share how the Sci lessons will be conducted.

When will the first assessments for S1s be? My dd and I have agreed to lay off tuition pending the results of her first tests. :nailbite:

Any S1 parents going for the campfire tonight ? I hope to drop by for a short while and also to check if the Principal's talk for the parents is compulsory tomorrow.

      :thankyou:
1)SNG teaches Upper Sec Sci syllabus so Lower Sec Textbook redundant.
You can purchase the Upper Sec Pure Sci textbook for reference.
The teachers will give useful notes plus revision papers. These notes are sufficient, don't worry.
Pay attention in class is impt too.

2)the first CA exam is in 3rd week of Feb.

3)yes, it's good to lay off tuition for the time being.
      Seek teachers help if needed.

4)you can go tonight camp. Go n take a look...
Tomw Talk will be good to attend.
The girls will be learning the SNG Family Dance. It's fun.

A new junior college that will open in 2017 for students from three Integrated Programme (IP) schools will likely be built on the site of the Asian Golf Academy near Bishan.

A statement on the Ministry of Education (MOE) website says the new campus will be at the junction of Sin Ming Avenue and Marymount Road, where the driving range is located.

The area is also zoned for an educational institution, according to the Urban Redevelopment Authority's Draft Master Plan 2013.

Singapore's 20th school to offer a JC programme will take in IP students from Catholic High School, CHIJ St Nicholas Girls' School and the Singapore Chinese Girls' School. It will also admit more than 100 students from other secondary schools who have completed their O levels.
