My niece got into TW8 this year. Is there any special Prog by the school or just biz as usual? Heard the sch org special maths classes for the more academically inclined kids? Does this take place in P4 or does one have to wait till p5 pls?

Is TW 8 one of the three top classes?

Yes, top class being TW9. I only heard about Maths banding into M1 - M4 class. They were informed on their maths banded class today.

I have not heard anything about this. Where did you hear from? In the past years, those students are only encouraged to sign up for math competitions and go for the TTLT programs.

Heard from ex-students there are Maths olympiad training that the school organizes, but maybe p4 is too young...[/quote]The training in school is not FOC. Furthermore it is only for short periods of time and insufficient. For more comprehensive training, better to go to those math centres on your own.
The school encourages those who get 90 or above in math to try the competitions; they don't really look at which class you are in.

M1-4 describes different banding for Math, with M1 being the highest level.

The cutoff point fluctuates from year to year (for each band) but I heard that it's terribly difficult to qualify for M1 - one's score must be close to perfect.

                  Hi,

Am considering Pei Hwa for my girl next year… May I know if the school is single-session? Or are there levels still at PM session? Can’t find this information on the PH webpage

Thank you very much, Mr FQW! We are choosing CCAs now. What do those in Christian Fellowship do? Are the activities related to religion? TIA! Have a nice weekend!

Not just math, but both math & science.
Other than that. You will need to pass their phase 1 & 2 selection before you'll be offered a place.
