So, by \"Still have to go back on Reporting Day\", report to SOTA or Pri school? Thanks:)Alicorn:
OMG SO MANY FELLOW R4-ers! (although by many I mean 2)
I'm Zachary. Hope we meet in class! You can tap me on the back and say you're a KSP-er :rahrah:
Yup, you don't have to go on the 23rd if you have registered. However, I applied for third language and I called MOELC up. They told me that I would receive a letter on Reporting Day. So, even though I already registered, I still have to go back. Major sighs!
Oh, classes are already streamed. I heard our class is the best class - all the students above 250. Can you share your aggregate T-scores so we could check? I already posted but FYI I got 251.
Don't worry about people being atas - I heard that it's still a school and there's bound to be bullying. But, just be yourself, mix with everyone and be REAL. That's what's important
Hope to see each other on the 2nd!
EDIT - Kiasu newbie, I'm also in theatre! YAY!
Alicorn
I got 258 + 2, by the way -
Just for everyone’s info, there is no need to bring books for BLU days. Only bring the books on the 8th.

@155dorcas hey i saw your artwork im an anime fan too and my style is similar to yours and i like your art
im not a parent too but a student studying in an arts elective program in one of the schools located near central.. i scored almost 250 for PSLE but im hoping to transfer to SOTA too.. i wanna know (im sec 2 this year) is it too late for me to transfer into SOTA as a visual arts student? when is it suitable to go for an audition or interview? and to those parents who have children studying there, how are the people there, what is the level of difficulty regarding schoolwork, is it very stressful, etc etc? -
i just checked the SOTA school website, those sec 1-3 are eligible for transfer!! >w< the talent auditions will be held during the march holidays, those who qualify will be transferred into the school during April! I’m quite worried, what is the audition like? is it infront of alot of people? Thankfully I think the results reviewed will be based on PSLE results, and not current school results phew (my current school results are really horrible but my PSLE is still fine) however not both of my parents are sure about letting me transfer … TT^TT

Hey there, thanks! Well, um read the previous pages... I asked similar questions and i think most of them have been answeredi just checked the SOTA school website, those sec 1-3 are eligible for transfer!! >w< the talent auditions will be held during the march holidays, those who qualify will be transferred into the school during April! I recently called up the school enquiring if there were spaces left and they told me they would update their website as soon as they tabulate the spaces left. The lady on the phone was saying that there is most likely to be a short-listing process which involves looking at our sec 1 scores as well as our art portfolio... so im really on the edge right now since I didnt do that well for PSLE (compared to u haha) and my sec 1 average was very low...well im not exactly sure where im placed at...considering im in express stream and my schools papers are different from other school. (we had extra sec 2 topics in sec 1).
I would suggest having a talk with them so all of you can make the final decision. Do bare in mind the long hours and kinda expensive school fees (depends on ya'know...
) also, SOTA has a six year program instead of our usual O'level track. So be sure to think about where you want to go after graduating
PS...i would love to see your art as well, my fellow anime lover! :boogie: -

Hi Beeby,
Thank you for your kind offer.
Can you share how a typical day be like at SOTA?
Do you know of anyone taking piano there?
Lastly, possible to share with us more about IB?
Thank you in advance.

Umm… Firstly, I’m not a parent, I’m in primary 6. I’m hoping to get into Sota through music, piano. Does anyone have any advice? I’m really worried that I won’t make it because my piano is only at Grade 4 and my sight reading is horrible. Also, I’ve never taken a theory exam. I want to try singing too but I don’t sing very well although I love it.
For those who are already in Sota. What’s it like there? How was Talent Academy? Was the audition hard?
Help!! -
Does anyone have specific info regarding a typical day for a student in drama or music (more specifically, violin)?
Thanks -
Also, is it true that it’s really difficult for students to get in Year 5?
