                Hi Mvm,

No worry about Shanghai, my family was there mid Dec, brought N95 masks but didn't use,
told by locals that such conditions are normal for winter. We saw some burning/clearing of
cottage farmlands. We were at a tea plantation near Xihu, were told that ACSI is visiting ๐Ÿ™‚
                Thanks spicyblackpepper!!

Anyone with year 3 boy going for the OEP this year ?

According to my boy, those who are leaving this Saturday donโ€™t have to attend school on Friday as quite a lot would have left on Friday.

However we never receive any notice in black and white from the school on this.

The dates for OEP for year 2 to year 4 was set at 17 to 23 Jan.

So does that mean no school for the boys on those dates, ie those leaving on 18 do not need to attend school on 17/1, while those who return on 22/1 donโ€™t need to attend school on 23/1 as well ?

                      Hi,

My son's brief notes on OEP:

                      \"Leave 17 Jan
                      Return 22 Jan
                      Rest 23 Jan
Go Back to School 24 Jan\"

I am not sure about those leaving on 18th though... ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi a few questions on admissions to yr 5 IB via "o" level route:

                        - what is the cut off points of entry under JAE since there is no affiliation points
                        - if all things being equal, if 2 boys get the same point for entry to yr 5, does the acsi "o" level boy get priority
                        - I was told that "o" level track to IB - the boys tend to do better because they have been primed for major exams already. How true is this, given that there is indeed some adjustment in IB vs a level?
                        - for IB points system, do they take into account 2 languages? Is Chinese easier than the "AO" level?
                        - whatโ€™s the likely no of places available for JAE excluding those set aside for Mgs IP? How many places out of these are set aside for DSA?

Hope to get some enlightenment soon. Cheers!
