They can appeal for change with valid reasons.

actually, I am quite surprised that they only get to know which CCA they are allocated to in Feb, more than a month from now. Does that means they get to come home early at least for the month of Jan

Yes, CCA officially starts in mid Feb (not sure exact) roughly, so they will get to come home early most of the time in Jan. But there will be some afternoons where there are CCA trials / auditions.

Could it be true? Saw previous posts stating that other than GE, AEP, MEP all other classes should be random. My girl is from NYPS but her score also meets the non-affiliated COP. Didn't go in with sports DSA.

Hello May I know what is your dd's name ? I'm from 102 too ! But I don't think 102 is a \" sports class \" . Yes there are quite a few number of pupils who are from track and field or other CCAs and they DSA-ed in but I did not DSA and some pupils in the class did not DSA too so I doubt it is a \" sports class \" I would really love to know your dd's name because I may know her through the ice-breaker games this morn XD

Dear fellow Nygh parents don’t worry too much abt CCA selection, most impt is the girls should get into a CCA she think she will enjoy because she needs to spend a lot of time in CCA. Also you can change CCA later on or transfer to another CCA next yr. In case u r interested to know, 111 and 112 are the gifted classes. CCA issues n questions shld be addressed at sec 1 parents talk next Fri.
