If your child would like to go into more popular CCAs, it's an advantage if he joins at the early stage as the coach/teacher-in-charge will have already know their level of competency compared to the new applicants. Definitely, it'll be an advantage.

Yes, but only if child has demonstrated \"talent\" right...

      Interest not (good) enough..

It is a must when they reach P4 but not in P1.

Pardon my ignorance, but I still have not figured out it's importance, save for DSA purposes

Even for DSA, they've to do very well in it. Else, they can't even use it.
They must at least win at national level, then the chances of success is higher. However, they've to join that particular CCA for at least 4 years.

For certain CCAs, I would think it's skill that the kids need to brush up but not talent. Of course, interest is very important. That's what motivates them to do better.

                P5 camp is next week 22 - 24 Jan.

What we didn't like about this camp are
                1) It's too close to CNY! Heard from DD that they always have a few
kids falling sick during past years' camp. Falling sick now would certainly
put a damper on CNY celebration.

                2) They only gave us the things-to-bring list yesterday!
They have this camp every year, so why can't they give us the list
earlier? Now we only have one weekend to get everything ready.

So parents of P4 students, click on the link to see the list of items.
Do prepare for them during the year end holidays.

How is the quality of the backpack etc.?

Does any of the parents know - if DD joins CCA training group now then does it mean this will become a "confirmed" CCA when DD is P4 and not have an option of choice shld another interest/talent get discovered when DD is older? Just wondering if you get "locked in" for 6 yrs machiam like signing up 6 yr contract (I presume everyone only meant to signup for 1 CCA only come P4-6)

                      Thanks!
