          FYI

For \"rhythmic gymnastics\" cca selection (pm session):-
          Tr said -
if your dd has learnt gymnastics before and had won award(s) before, she will be given priority to join Rg cca.

As for the remaining places left, if demand exceed places available, there may be balloting -
with priority given to p2s, before the p1s.

There are 2 different type of swimming lessons.
              (Dont get confused)

One is done as a \"swimming\" cca -
              in the morning, 9.45 am.
meet at the swimming pool, early morning.
This is a 2 hour lesson.

The other is done under p2 pe (physical exercise) session.
this swimming is in the afternoon, because it comes under pe, and pe is in the afternoon. This is a 1 hour lesson.

Swimming (under pe) is compulsory, for p2 pupils.
This is to ensure all our Rgps girls from p2 onwards, know how to swim
(or at least able to float, if they are thrown into a swimming pool)
The p1s no need to learn now.
But Next year when they move up to p2, they'll have to learn how to swim.
Training swimming instructors will be at the pool.
They will assess each pupil's swimming proficiency, start off at an appropriate, right level, for each pupil; whether she can learn breast stroke (frog style), back stroke, free style, butterfly stroke, etc.

              \"swimming cca\", 9.45 am morning, 2 hr lesson
              ===========================================
              Transport -

              A) either parents bring your dd directly to the swimming complex itself, early morning, 9.45 am.
Wait for teachers & the rest, to arrive, go in together.

              Or

              B) arrange for transport, to bring your child to and fro, either 1 way or 2 ways.
To the swimming pool, and then back to school, after swimming lesson end.

For this, parent may need to pay for transport.
              This can be arranged.
              The exact detail(s) -
You may approach the swimming tr in charge, for the transport telephone number. It is a bus. The bus will bring your dd to the pool, and back to school, after lesson end.

              For Lower primary -
              It is recreational swimming.
However, if the coach spot a potential student, he may bring the name up to the attention of the tr in charge of swimming, to put her name up for any competition.

Yes, certainly you may change your dd cca, if after joining -
For whatever reason(s), she realize she prefer to try something else.

                      Example

There are p1 pupils who after trying out 1 year in a certain sports category -
in p2, they decide to switch over to performing arts.

The lower primary (p1 / p2) are exploratory years trying out & experience different cca. by p4, need to decide.
There are different category to choose from -
Sports, performing arts, uniform group, etc.

However, since cca registration is done at beginning of each year, you may wait until January next year, then change.
Alternately, may write in to that individual, respective cca main tr in charge, inquire is it possible to transfer within the same year, instead of having to wait next year jan? If there happen to be vacancies, sometimes it is possible. For this, best to confirm, with tr in charge.

                      Side track a bit ...
                      Earlier on, someone mention guitar.
Playing guitar is not a cca, in our school.
However if your dd is keen, may learn guitar on her own, outside.
But if you are in planning stage now ahead for possible future dsa (direct secondary school admission) route, need to check :
does that ideal secondary school you've in mind - accept guitar or not, via dsa route ?
                      Some secondary school(s) may not.

when will we know whether my DD is selected to the CCA class?

The results of the cca application will be made known to the form teacher - either late next week, or the week after.
