will your ds1 be taking O levels this year or in IP?
Mine ds1 is sec 4, dd p5, ds2 p1. -
My DD did not have HW yesterday except for arts. I asked her to do one compo (MT). She said she will do after her arts HW. She took more than 2 hours to draw and colour = no time to do anything else as she also had her CCA last afternoon. :snooze: by 9 pm

reporting here too anyway my girl is taking foundation subjects though and the sch is taking a very different approach
Babe, didn't know you have a goatie as well.
icy_mama:
Second time wiser.after going thru with dd last year, i realised the importance of starting to lay down a good foundation right now at P5.
icy_mama:
Same game plan, babe. :hi5:days when they have less homework, will have more mummy's work to do. days when they have more homework, mummy's work can keep for another day, either way, their brain will not be idle.

#2 is different, I must be more onz.
It seems there are three of us who are two-timers here. :rotflmao:

Went for PTM yesterday, looks like itβs going to be a hectic year ahead. Talk about the new English Syllabus. Told myself to take it one day at a time. Remedial classes for MT as already started! thank god DD donβt have to attend. However from term 2 supplementary classes will begin twice a week. She already as CCA twice a week. So in future she as to stay back 4 times a week.
Then in June there is Taiwan trip for a week, organized by the MT class.
Isnβt it a bit too much for a 11 yrs old. I am thinking of not allowing her to attend one of the supp classes. Is it possible if I write to the teacher stating that I am not in favor??? -

It's better not to. They may touch on certain stuff for exams. -
hihi, just discovered this thread & realized it's v relevant to me too...
my boy, in P5, always dream & zone out while doing sch hmwk. i think he purposely drag to finish his sch hmwk so that i can't assign assessment wk to him. bought these assessment books which r becoming white elephants at hm
i'm frus. how to get this boy to focus & b/c more productive? any useful tips? -

My DD's school - they cover compo and Onsponge Maths during supplementary classes. If u r confident that you can manage well without supplementary classes, go ahead.mum03:
