🀷 Do you think it is worth taking DS to watch the NAFA SYT Music competition? I friend suggested it.

Why not? The winner's concert is free admission anyway.

Fall sleep??? Oh dear, then it's a really BAD idea. Wonder why my friend even suggested it.

I'm sure the winners are worth listening to. Hmm...but will have to watch prize presentation also right?

It's always good to bring kids to see excellent performances; it can be a powerful motivational tool. But must see also what kind of program being performed also lar. Children normally prefer more tuneful and simpler pieces; so bringing them to a concert full of long complex pieces such as Beethoven's Sonatas may make them feel bored instead. Perhaps can watch the winners for around 15-20 minutes and then quietly exit through the side doors during the pauses between items?

I remember wanting to watch this last year. Until I found out from the lady in charge that there were no Erhu performers and I was wondering why. Then I realised that this competition is for the finalists of the previous year's nationals and NAFA had no finalists.

So this competition for SYF NAFA will not be too long, I think. Only the finalists?
