Received notice from the school, students will have an early dismissal time at 9.30am on 30 Jan Thursday

Ds checked out hostel yesterday and was pretty upset that he was given the 2nd warning since staying in the hostel this year. His finger print was not properly scan when he checked in thus was reported as absent. Although he try explaining it to the cluster mentor, it was not accepted

I think when you scan, your name should be shown on a screen for you to verify. Is there such a procedure?

The scanner has to blink green for the scan to be accepted. If it was confirmed to be green and yet it was not registered, one can ask to review the CCTV. If one indeed scanned and the scanner turned green, no penalty should be given (unless the a cluster has been told explicitly not to use a particular scanner).

Ds will sending in the appeal letter today by email, hope he can be excused. Will be attending the boarding dinner for parent tomorrow evening in the school, will verify with his cluster mentor
