Especially irritated when DH, DD or DS eats snacks where crumbs will fall all over after you have mopped your floor. Also when you have just finished washing dinner plates and they start eating again using plates, then I have the "can never finish washing plates" feeling. :x

        MLR:
        tankee:

try this ... set his watch 10mins ahead.

Hah, he is usually late for 30 mins to an hour. The record is an amazing 3 hours. If we are going out together, usually less than 30 mins, cos I would be :x or 😢 . His friends/family now know better to lie to him about starting time of event/gatherings, if they need him to be on time
So sad rite, hving your friends/family lie to you just becos you are habitually late.

DH has a friend who is a habitual latecomer. DH is always frustrated cos he always wanted DH to give him a lift to gatherings and many times DH has to circle the bus stop where he's supposed to be picked up. I'm also frustrated cos DH would pressurized me to be on time yet after rushing through my chores, we got to wait for his friend. :x I never understand why he couldn't make his way to the venue but has to take a lift from DH. (We live districts apart). :?

What irritates me most is DH asking me to do things he can do himself. Go make Milo for the kids (make yourself lah), go pack the bag for the kids (Go pack yourself lah), go and cook - this one he can't do. He doesn't even know how to turn on the stove. \"Go and sleep now.\" \"Don't read that magazine.\" 😛 \"Don't criticise this person, don't speculate, don't judge, don't say this in front of the kids.\" Aiyah!

I am already a FT maid and FTWM, now I am feeling like a slave.

The kids. Irritating if they ask for favours when they know I am busy. \"Mom, can I stay in school today late?\" when I am on the phone. Can't even hear what she is saying, so I nodded my head. Then, when I found out that she will go out with this group that likes to loiter in shopping malls, I said no. \"But you said ok just now, and I told my friends already. Always go back on your words!\" :x

          \"Can I play computer games?\" \"Can I go out now?\"

I told them that the answer is a plain no if they deliberately catch me when I am busy.

I know how you feel. DH treated me as his secretary when we first married. He even got me to write out his cheque for him to sign. :x Through the years I've learn to :siam: As long as he got arms and legs and highly mobile, I refrain from helping (sometimes can't help but intervene like when things are misplaced but then, I now also harden my heart not to bother). So, now it goes like this:
            At home,
DH : did you see my wallet?
            ME: never
            DH: can help to find.
ME: sorry, very busy. go find yourself

If DH is outside and I'm at home
DH: can check if I've left my wallet at home?
ME: What? Where got people leave wallet at home to go buy things.
DH: I think I left it on the bed/table etc.
ME show irritation: ok lah, everytime like this. I very busy you know.
DH: Sorry lah, thank you hor

As for cooking, DH will die of hunger if he doesn't eat for 3 hours so he'll cook every now and then for himself. Except for DS3, none of us dare to eat his cooking cos DH never wash the utensils clean. We have to rewash every pan/plate/spoon/bowl before we use them. I have to close my eyes when I enter the kitchen cos I will :x :x when I see the state the sink is in. Used to wash up after him but decided to leave it and see long DH will realise it needs cleaning up. 😢 😢

After many times forgetting his wallet and I bailed him out every time, one fine day, mine went like this:
DH: Oops, I forgot my wallet. Don't have credit card.
Me: What? I have already ordered the food. You need the citibank credit card because I told them we are going to pay with that.
              DH: How?
Me: Go back and take lor
              DH: Ok.

He drove home from Toa Payoh back to Braddell.

He never ever forgets his wallet again. I don't have a Citibank credit card that day with me as well.

I am most irritated with DH when:

                a) he cannot seem to find things most of the times. He will look for it BUT come back and say "not there". So I go and I can find it wor… (i think he only take glimpses and don’t bother to look further or move things around)
                b) he forgets where he put his things (this is different from (a). In (a), I direct him the location but still cannot find!). He is supposed to be in charge of "technology" stuff like connectors and wires…eg hp charger, card reader, camera charger…etc but i always end up looking for it…
                c) doesn’t help in organizing/putting things in proper places. He take things and does not put it back to the original place (& that is part of the reason for (a) and (b)…

I think most men are like that. 😛 They anyhow put their things and don't bother to really look for it. I've trained DS3 to put his things in designated place so that he won't lose them. However, he also got the same sickness when looking for things - look at the surface and don't bother to dig in. 😞 DH not only misplace things, he'll also :x :x and accuse that we move his things. There was once when DS3 was about 4 when DH was looking for his phone charger which was not where he usually plug in.

                  DH: Where's my phone charger?
ME: Is always at the socket.
                  DH: well, it's not there.
ME: Did you bring it to the office?
DH: No, somebody has taken it. Who played with my thing?
ME: Who would want to play with your charger. None of the boys came to the room.
DH: But somebody must have. :x
DS3: Pa, think where you might have left it. Trace your steps. Where you went....(DS3 watched Blue Clue and learnt from it) You know, only aeroplane and bird can fly, your charger can't fly.
DH stops his ranting:
In the end, DH found his charger in the bag which he brought to his office.

Skunk, mebbe there's truth in this leh! When one (DH/DW) doesn't focus on it, the other has to step in the \"stand in the gap!\" It's tiring no matter how you love doing it...almost like mothering (fathering in your case) another child! :?

I used to cajole, beg and really ask for Time Out (TO) coz it was too much bearing on me...I wrote his cheques and he just signed them, then we got that account changed to a joint account so that I can have POA whilst he travels, then I write, sign and am now responsible to post his bill payments until one day, memory failed me, I was running too many things at the same time... and he kenna late charge. Sure he appealed, coz it's his cards mah...

So like appaamm and other parents can attest to here, once you oso \"bo chap\", he/she has to \"chap\"...QED, actually! 😉
