Roti Prata

there was one-time when I was having roti-prata, I saw this western lady with 2 young kids having roti-prata too.


She ate hers with sugar, while her 2 kids ate with Maple Syrup :!:

I once tried the milk prata (with condense milk) with fish curry (must be fish). It was actually v v good. You know that condense milk can be sickeningly sweet rite. However, in this case, the savoury and the sweet came together harmoniously.

But I have to say that I don't think that any other type of curry ie chicken etc.. will go as well as the above combi.

Once, I had a wonderful and flavoursome curry at a Malay friend's place. Her mom cook curry with cheese and milk instead of coconut milk. It was beef curry (not rendang). Not sure what type of cheese though.

Beach road's Plaza Hotel's diner has a pretty good buffet spread that includes durian and banana-flavored roti prata.

Personally, I still prefer roti prata kosong with sugar. Still a little kid at heart

I like the prata from the coffee shop diagonally opposite woskel rd. Its a corner coffee shop and I usu order mine crispy with onions.


We also used to patronise a row of coffee shops along yio chu kang rd and order from here - milo dinasour v gd then, don’t know how the standard is now.
