Yes, they bake only during CNY. They've been doing this for years... They will stop all activities on New Year's Eve, and they will only reappear next year.

I haven't bought this year, but it used to cost about 75 cents per tart, I forgot how many tarts there are in one can...
      okie, thanks ALOT 😄

I will try and get one if I pass by the area for my ILs (hopefully they wouldn't have run out of them)

i had the Hiding Place pineapple tarts last year. not too bad. but its too far for me to go and this year there’s no one getting for me from there. I tried the XO Pineapple tarts from the Beauty World, its quite good too. not too exp, the small bottle - $12 for 35pcs. the big bottle is more value for money, i think its $20 for 50pcs.

Hi Tree nymph, do you know what \"XO\" means? Did they add XO in the jam? Thinking of trying to make...

O, luckily I didn't put that XO in the jam yesterday. Will bake a batch today. Wah, very tired these days... this baking will stop after CNY, and I'll be happy I did what I set out to do.

are they still selling ? or only for those pre-ordered for CNY?

They are still selling. But last order collection on Thursday, 11 Feb. I see many bottles in the shop, so not sure whether they have sufficient quantity for walk-in customers.

                      Hiya all,

Just tried 2 pieces of the pineapple tarts (pillow version) from DJ chain of bakeries in Serangoon central. $11.80 for small bottle. Highly recommended by staff there.

Verdict: amt of pineapple inside just nice. Quite sticky and chewy. Not too sweet as well (as what the staff had promised). The pillow crust is soft yet not crumbly.

I like it, unfortunately, will have to pass jar over to ILs as I know I will whack it 😞

They also recommended the mocha/cappucinno cheese biscuit, but I haven't tried yet. Already met my 2 pieces a day quota. Let you all know 2morro.

Remember, I am trying to lose weight ..... 🙏

Me too. Seriously thinking that reading these food threads makes me gain weight. 😛
