My DD settling nicely in Catholic JC. Subject selection of her choice with 4H2 appeal approved.
1) MAths
2) Econs
3) English Language & Lingustic
4) Lit
In hindsight, this is best that could have happen to her, though she was keen to go ACJC/NYJC.

DD is settling well into new school. i was initially apprehensive if she, a jae student, could fit well into a IP jc. Glad she enjoyed her orientation. Even had to remind her to come back earlier each night. She likes her new class too.
Those were late nights at Orientation, weren't they?
What's the JAE/RP mix like in your dd's class?
Her class ratio is about 4:17. Heard some classes hv more jae than rp. Your dd taking ki? Are there many taking ki? -

Except for the first day that he was feeling down because he misses his friends and sec school, my ds is adapting ok in MJC. Came back late for most of orientation days. Not used yet to the amount of time taken for his journey as he had been walking to and from school for the past ten years.

I guess , it has to be Pure human subject as well at O level , meaning it cannot be SS+Lit...DadOfGirl:

I think it should be left to the student to decide. Since so few take it at O level, the JC should have more flexible criteria for A level. I really feel that our nation is going backwards - they started encouraging humanities in the 70s, and now it looks like we need to do it again!slmkhoo:

But we don’t know if this is across different JCs or just for ACJC in particular. Other JCs may be more encouraging of students taking Lit.
