Hi Mummies,

I sent an email to MOE regarding P1 in the afternoon session.
Hope to receive a favourable reply ie MOE allows the school to have P1-6 in the morning session.

I received an email from Mrs Tan, the principal of IJ TP.
All the gals who register this year will be in the morning session in 2011. I'm so relieved because my daughter will have time in the afternoon to rest and get her work done. :rahrah:

So this catered food is just for P1 because they are in the afternoon session. Do we parents pay at the start of each term ? Do the gals get the food before recess or still have to queue ?

Yes...the catered food is only for P1 students as the canteen does not operate in the afternoon. Payment will be made before the end of the previous term, with the menu provided.
From what I understand, the gals will have to queue and collect the food in the canteen.

Just read the latest post that you have received confirmation from Mrs Tan and IJ will go single session next year..not sure if the catering service will be ceased then.

Receiving that piece of good news from Mrs Tan personally was a wonderful feeling .

Many mummies told me Phase 2A2 is more or less guaranteed a place there. Now I don't have to worry about weaning off my daughter's afternoon nap later this year.

Just to update, for CCA bus, $1 is only for Toa Payoh Area. And they do have package price if your girl is taking more than once a week.

Hubby just scolded me for counting chickens b4 they hatch over P1 in morning session issue…he told me until daughter is confirmed of a place in IJ TP (in black and white), then there is cause for happiness.
Ok lah, agree with that…just like for my son’s case earlier - although we did PV and got a letter from the school to qualify under Phase 2B, we could only breathe easier when there was a letter CONFIRMING him of a place there.

good luck! i am sure half the battle is won… i am banking on the distance from home. not sure if many people will apply coz if there’s balloting, it still does not guarantee a place…keeping fingers crossed.

My hubby is one person who only believes something when he sees BLACK AND WHITE.
From what I understand, if balloting takes place, it will be using the school's original premise. I wish you all the best too.
