            I thought the answer is "Yet" but answer sheet is "However".
            why?

                  However is used more frequently but in terms of context, I cannot see why \"yet\" would be unacceptable if it was given as an option.

                        There are 2 different verbs here:
                        'Lie' as in to lie down - past tense is 'lay' (that's the explanation for (A) and (B))

                        'Lay' as in to put down - past tense is 'laid' (that's (C))
