      Hi, Mummies

I am new in this forum, very happy to learn and share the experience here.

I would like to know when i need to register my dd (born on 2011) to PCF Nursery in year 2015 and where I could get the exact information.

I have searched from pcf.org.sg website, that indicated Nursery 2015 admission (born on 02.01.11-01.01.12) and N1 (child must be 30 months at point of entry). Is that mean there will not be any vacancy availabe for Nursery when those N1 kids being promote to Nursery in year 2015? I am confuse about the admission standard in PCF, kindly being advised if any mummies experience it.

      Thanks in advance!!

Hello my friend's DD is in the Jurong-East branch PAP. His daughter's family is from China, so she does not have a English environment. My friend is worried that his DD will not be able to cope with the English standard in P1. He is looking for a tutor who can help interact with his DD eg. read flash cards with her, etc. Approximately how much would the fees be per hour, if such a tutor goes to his house (He lives in Jurong)? thank you very much! 😄

                  Hi all,

My sister is moving back to Singapore and is looking for a centre near her home for her kids. There is a PCF at St 71 Block 725, anyone knows about this centre? Her kids are 3 and 5.

Any idea if all Pfc kindy uses jolly phonics? For nursery level, does the kindy provide worksheets for home practice? Understand it’s important for parents to reinforce at home. Also with the first term coming to an end, what are the sounds your child has been taught??? Tia!

Hi, my 4 year old is in PCF and so far they dont teach phonics yet. they have worksheets based on the term's learning theme. Every friday they will bring home the week's worksheets and art work they did in class. Also they will bring back a storybook every fri which the teacher has read to them for that week. So far my kid is able to read (if not memorize) both the english and chinese books she brought back. There is also a small slip of paper where the teacher will tick on which high frequency words your child can recognize.

They do have home-school learning, once in a while there are worksheets for parent to do together with the child.

Overall i am very satisfied with the sch, despite many parents telling me the standard is not very gd for PCF schools but my daughter is doing well so far.
