Year end is very cold. My kids didn't enjoy that much compared to June. Best time is still March/April, during cherry blossom. But I don't get to do during this period as my girls are in primary school.

If you go in late Nov, it is not very cold, still autumn weather, and you get to see Christmas theme but will be more crowded. September is another alternative and less cold, plus the Halloween theme. Including weekends you will have 9 days during the one week school holiday. June is rainy, but the rain is usually not heavy like here. One thing good is by the night time, most people will go back early and you get no queue at Disney.

The budget shown earlier is for 6 days (5 nights?), which I think could be too short. You need at least 2 days in Disney (3 days better). If you plan to go to Sanrio Puroland, another day gone. Maybe 7-8 nights will be better if possible.

Try to book Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay for that few days you plan to go Disney. IIRC, the room has 2 double beds and 1 pull out bed. It is convenient to bring kids back to rest in the afternoon. You can get good price 16k-17k yen during low season.

Stayed twice at Disneyland hotel and find it very nice n cosy. Buffet Bfast n dinner comes with Mickey and fellow friends 'hanging' around and they are great with kids. Photo session with them much more candid n don't need to queue up like in the park πŸ˜‰

My family stayed in both hotels. Kids like disneyland hotel more as they can take pictures with the character within the hotel. However, it is more expensive (I think HK500 per room per night) compared to hollywood. But it's worth a stay.

hi i stayed at hollywood but took a short walk to the disneyland hotel to visit the place. very nice deco! and during the few hours i was there, saw many disney characters walking around taking photos with the guests. so if u r going for the characters, can do the same. just drop by the lobby and wait for your turn πŸ™‚

                        hi tree nymph

sorry i wouldn't know cos i never stayed in disneyland hotel. but we were quite happy with the hollywood one. both have this beautiful and thoughtfully designed \"playroom\" where there are storybooks, kitchen set, toys and activities such as colouring and storytelling for kids and young children. but agree that there are more popular disney characters at disneyland hotel such as all the princesses and handsome prince while hollywood hotel only has the sidekicks such as goofy who will walk around at night. maybe they have a timing for walking around to take pics.

if u r booking a package with travel agency, should be able to check with them as to the size of room. but most impt is the no. of beds/ capacity should fit you and family. have a good trip! πŸ™‚
