JC2 parent here

Dd doing lit at h2 tho did not do it in sec school (ip)
DD Took the SAT last year in April as recommended by the school. Usually will do it if looking to go to the US for uni. If plan to study at local U, then save the money and time spent prepping for it. (iMO).
Dd is all on her own. Hardly any support given for studies. Just try to pick her
Home when she finishes late from JC. Work load is fairly heavy, and long days and nights are expected in the run up to A levels.
Thanks for sharing, Mvm. How's your dd finding Lit as she didn't take it in upper sec?
Just want to find out whether the grade of HCL at sec4 (beside granting emption at JC) important to the entire 'A' Level result? Anyone know pls share... TQ

HCL result will only help in UAS ( uni admission score) computation if u get an A, but it's very mimimal
I :gloomy: t will ONLY be computed if it raises the applicant's UAS...otherwise, not included in the computation...
U juz need to meet the min requirement for MTL for uni entry....

Hi Augmum, can elaborate more \"ONLY be computer it it rises the applicants UAS \" and why only grade can be used ?
Not Augmum, but jumping in to answer. For MTL, if you add it in to your UAS, they will rebase it back to 90 UAS. Only if your UAS with MTL is higher than your UAS without MTL, will it be used. The computer will calculate it for you. And as Augmum pointed out, it will only help if you scored an A for MTL and only very minimally.

She's doing fine. Got a B at the end of JC1. (no tuition)

I think it is together with A Level results. Early March.

This is what my dd told me too.

She will be taking her PW paper this year so her results will be out with next year's A level results.

:rotflmao: Well, so long as they've cleared it and don't have to take it at H1 level.
