As per Question 40 in MOE FAQS(http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/faqs/), registration under phase 2B for community leader is resticted to the constituency where you serve.Hi,
1)Can I confirm that if I am not residing in the school-GRC but I serve in the GRC where the school in is in, I will qualify under 2B once I am an endorsed Executive Member? Eg. if I serve in Moulmein but live in Bedok can I apply for ACS which is under Moulmein?
2) If I do move and live within 1km of the school, but I serve in a far away and difference GRC CCC, and I do get myself as an endorsed EM and GRL, I will be able to take that endorsement back to my residential GRC (which is diff from the one I do service in) and apply under 2B? (reason for this question is that I have been invited to serve in a diff constituency and they said that as long as I reside in the GRC of my chosen school, I can still take the endorsement of my service GRC which is different from my residential GRC, and apply under 2B) Eg. I live in Balmoral but I serve in Ang Mo Kio, can I apply for ACS which is in Moulmein?
Appreciate all the PRECISE clarification that I can get.
Thank you.
In addition, you can only serve as executive member in Resident Committee where you reside in. The only propability to serve in Resident Committee where you do not reside in is to join as associated member. You need to consult the assistant constituency manager to check whether associated member is qualify for phase 2B.
As for CCC/CCMC, it is restricted to the constituency where you serve. For better clarification, check with a PA staff, i.e. Assistant/Deputy/Senior Constituency Manager. -
But I know CCC/CCMC can take in executive members who stay outside the GRC… not sure abt the benefits… I think priviledged parking in the GRC is still not entitled even if you’re EM in CCC/CCMC but stay outside the GRC… so same applies to the other priviledges?
That’s what I heard those guys saying when they mentioned that they’re not in it for the benefits cos’ they are staying outside the GRC…
YA RIGHT…

I called MOE to check personally since the information was not clear in the forum.
\"When you are endorsed by PA, you can apply either, in the constituency that you reside in, or the constituency that you serve, you have that option.\"
Hope this helps. It opens up the horizon actually.

Hi ckwee18,
So u r consider as EM or AM? Does it mean that u can apply ACS for ur child? -
Think you need to be an endorsed Executive Member to go under 2B. However, if you study the ACS numbers, there are excess of 100% applicants over seats available which means you need additional weapon to fight by distance!!!!
I am not applying to ACS, was just using as a hypothetical example.mummy of 3:

Then there's the hidden clause thingy.... \"We don't GUARANTEE that your child will be accepted even when in Phase2B...\"

Yes in Phase 2B it would always based on demand & supply. If demand exceed supply then would have balloting.

Just received an update from PA.
'For this year's exercise, only CCC/CCMC/RC/NC members who are officially appointed by the PA for at least one year i.e. appointed on or before 30 June 2009 may apply under the Scheme for admission of their children into Primary One in 2011.' -
appointed on or before 30 June 2009
Are you refering to joining by 30 June 2009? If to use RC route to enter Phase 2B must at least join at least 1.5-2 years in advance as the keyword means appointed? :? -
