      Hi strawberries,

I think you can visit the threads on \"[Bukit Merah] Primary Schools\" and \"[Central] Primary Schools\" for comments on Radin Mas & RVPS. Sorry I don't know how to attach the links here as I'm also quite new

        strawberries:
My son is born in 2004 and now I am also in a dilema where should I sent him to. Radin Mas and River Valley are within 2km from my place but balloting under 2C for RM would mean very low chance and risky.. As for RVPS, any comments? My alma meter is Pei Chun Pri, or shd I just send him there?

        hi

        :welcome: to KSP

There is a member here, Titank, that was making the same decision last year as you are now, choosing between RVPS & Radin Mas.

you might want to check with him or read up his last year's post.

          Hi,

Anyone out there knows any thing abt this Anderson Pri?? Is their school students well behave, teachers good or not & etc...

          Cheers,
          Smallbattery

          hi

          :welcome: to KSP

I would suggest you pop by the school before school, during recess and after school and see for yourself how the students behave. It is unlikely you will be able to enter the school though and can only see from outside.

Try to speak with some of the students and see how they carry themselves & hold the conversation.

You can also wait for open house. Some schools hold open houses in June Holidays before the registration period.

          Good Luck !

            Hi Mummies,

There are several options schools/MOE can take regarding the transition to single session - build annex building next to present school, find a new location, cut down classes etc. Bottom line, they have to meet MOE’s guideline to move to single session 2016 or 2018.

Children born each year are getting lesser too, so cutting down P1 classes would be an option, but it means parents aiming for their choice school will have to ballot.

              Hi strawberries,

Pei Chun is a popular school and had won some awards. The safest way would be to register there under 2A2 (alumni goes under 2A1); and then look at your chances come phase 2C. I thought RV and RM are also very popular?

Remember that you can always withdraw later, but you cannot go back and ask to register under an earlier phase once the time has past.

I’m just curious to find out if one can register in 2A at school A and later register in 2B/2C at school B. However, school B is so popular that it requires balloting in 2B/2C. So can the parents still go for the balloating in 2B/2C without having to withdraw from school A first becasue they do not know for sure whether they are sucessfully in the balloting yet. Can the parents withdraw the place they got from 2A after they got a place in 2B/2C?

                  No

Must withdraw from school A before allowed to register for school B

In any phase of the exercise, you can only have ONE school per child's name on the registration system. It will be very unfair for the rest if you hold on to school A while trying to register in school B in subsequent phases.

the central computer system will not recognise and accept your Phase 2B/2C registration if you have already registered in earlier phases.

Does anyone knows if I own a HDB flat and rent another private property near the primary school of my choice within 1 km, can I apply for the primary chool with the rental address? And do I need to rent out my HDB house too?
