            E3,

Rest assured, I will try my level best to help you then. 😄
Your daughter will be in P3 next year and in the morning session. Then she will have more time after school. My son enjoys morn session and his afternoon nap.

                E3,

When my son was in P1 & 2, the nights were spent doing hw while mornings would be for revision. Had maid then, so left her to cook lunch.
Last yr in P3, he had shower/lunch/short rest b4 starting his homework. Then he had a nap. Nights are for revision/learning spelling.
With the increase in homework this year, sometimes he has to take a nap b4 he can continue with his school work in the evening. I tell him to sleep if he cannot continue. No point forcing himself to finish and yet do everything wrongly.

Hi Janet, that is very good arrangement . Too bad i am working, never have enough time to coach my children. very wasted...

I am doing that now. Homework takes priority so will complete in the evenings. The following morning will be for others. Sometimes, just doing homework takes up the almost the whole evening...like when journal, Chinese compo and Math etc. are given. Shouldn't complain I guess, think the upper Pri is worse.

                      Donkey,

As a full time working mum, it’s hard for you to coach. Don’t be too hard on yourself. The grass is always greener on the opposite pasture…There are days when I wish I am working and given a chance to breathe outside…a chance to go on leave or have coffee with colleagues.

                      E3,
My son did most of his work in school when he was in P2. I checked his work and had to erase them because they were so many mistakes or else the handwriting was atrocious.
This year, on those days when he has PE, I have to let him sleep because he is so tired and then continue at night. Although morning session sounds like more time, but it isn’t really so if the child has CCAs, enrichment lessons and tuition for few subjects.

                        Hi Mummies,

My son came home with the donation card yesterday. Don’t know if the info is correct, but the teacher said the donations will be for the construction of a new school nearby just for P1 and 2.
He also added that it will not be a big school but just for lower primary as all primary schools have to go single-session by 2016 and existing school cannot take in P1-6.
