It is available for sale. I bought it and the publisher is casco but did not notice other publisher. -
Musicstar - Thanks. Maybe the Popular I went to was too small. Will try the one at Bras Basah over this week. Found another thread that recommended a book published by Casco too. Probably the same.

Go to bigger outlets Popular. The sales assistants can advise you which one latest. -
For parents seeking some clarity on the new format, please refer to

I addressed the issue more comprehensively there.

Bb_mum,
I don't think you need to go all the way to Bras Basah to buy. Probably you can call your nearest popular outlet to check. I think all popular sell the same books. Maybe the outlet you went has already sold out the books. Previously, I bought it only 2 books left. Another 2 weeks later I saw a lot . -

I am sorry to ask again although you provide the blogspot link. I still do not understand for the new format is there any choice for composition. -
Hi Musicstar
In the new format, the choice is between writing a story (narrative) or an essay (expository).
Right now, none of the schools I know have taught essay or expository writing skills yet. Everyone is just writing stories, which may have led to your confusion about whether there are any alternative options for students.

Dear TheWriter
Thanks for link. I can understand how the general theme format works. I just need to explain to DS so that he can change his writing style. So far, he is still using the old method of writing. Big struggle ahead together. Writing is not his fave.
But still a bit lost on the expository essay style. I will need guidance from assessment books and hopefully can explain to DS. -

Thank you very much for your reply.
I revisit your blog and realise that the narrative or an expository writing is from the 3 pictures. Am I right?
Presently, the old format is a picture (guided composition) to write the story or continuous writing starting with a paragraph.
Recently, I have attended the school talk and was told that the guided composition remain but the continuous writing change to 3 pictures writing. I am confused.
