      Donkey,

As a full time working mum, it’s hard for you to coach. Don’t be too hard on yourself. The grass is always greener on the opposite pasture…There are days when I wish I am working and given a chance to breathe outside…a chance to go on leave or have coffee with colleagues.

      E3,
My son did most of his work in school when he was in P2. I checked his work and had to erase them because they were so many mistakes or else the handwriting was atrocious.
This year, on those days when he has PE, I have to let him sleep because he is so tired and then continue at night. Although morning session sounds like more time, but it isn’t really so if the child has CCAs, enrichment lessons and tuition for few subjects.

        Hi Mummies,

My son came home with the donation card yesterday. Don’t know if the info is correct, but the teacher said the donations will be for the construction of a new school nearby just for P1 and 2.
He also added that it will not be a big school but just for lower primary as all primary schools have to go single-session by 2016 and existing school cannot take in P1-6.

Hi, they give out this same donation card every year. It is not just for the new building. It is mentioned in the card what it is for.

            Dyh,

I told my son to donate from his red packets.
He said this year’s donation card is not just for the existing school but also for the new building. Anyway, just donate what we can since it’s the thought that counts.

BTW mummies, have you done the survey in Lead.com ?
            It’s regarding the bookshop vendor.

              Hi

How do I login to this Lead Portal? Is it on the front page of the school website or another website? cos I tried using the login ID and password but keep getting the incorrect username and password error message.

              Thanks

I went into the website but survey not there. The letter provided is not complete in terms of steps. This is what I did.

                1) Go to school website: http://www.phpps.moe.edu.sg/
                2) Click on LEAD Logo at bottom right corner.
                3) Key in ID (your child's ID) and password (learning). School ID is PHPPS.
                4) Click on \"View My Assignment\" on left-hand side.

My son came back with loads of homework for the long CNY weekend. Completed English worksheets in school...finished Math before he slept. Still has Science and Chinese worksheets to be done.

Was talking to a friend who has 2 kids in Pei Hwa - her son is in P5 and P4 daughter happens to be my son's classmate this year. Was telling her that the 1 1/2 months since school reopened feels like a long time bcos son's workload increased so much this year. She told me her boy didn't have this much homework when he was in P4 last year. P5 will be worse on and on top of that supplementary lessons 2x a week 😢 😢
My daughter will be in P1 next year...I don't want to think about next year. :?: :?: This year is pressurizing enough.

Haha...girls...my dd was also very excited. Kept saying she can't wait to be in school. She wants to change into her new year dress asap too!

She had also completed her social studies homework. Journal has to wait till after the visits as that is what she is supposed to write on. Like you, she is left with the usual spelling/ dictation. Chinese teacher postponed spelling/dictation to end of the week so I believe should hv sufficient time to learn.

                        Happy Chinese New Year!
