i thought the S1 posting statistics of previous year are presented to all current P6 parents in Jan/Feb during P6 briefing but seem like this year is not or maybe delayed… hope we can get some info during the coming briefing session…

well, info from hearsay… most PQR & EF will still go to RGS but recent trend was that the girls going to NUSH has increased… maybe this path is not only a 6yrs program but also provide the entry to NUS since the diploma is issued by the university… for most, this would cost lesser compared to overseas U and the child doesn’t have to be away from the parents… jmho

          Hi Mummies and Daddies,

My DD is in primary 3. She came back that day and told me she was appointed as the Value Ambassador of the class. Well, happy for her but can anyone advise me what are the roles of a Value Ambassador and what is expected of her ?

Very confuse with the different roles introduced this year such as RGPS Leader, NE Ambassador, Value Ambassador, Monitoress. Are there any any reasons why the school introduce these roles ?

          Thanks.

              Hi,

May I ask if there is any segregation of class from P4 to P5, or most will stay in the same class till p6. My dd in p4 was told by the form teacher that there is a chance of going to EF class if the girls do well. What is the criteria for the segregation? Thank you.

For those P6 students who aim to get minimum 255 to 260 in order to get into "Integrated" program in Band 1 Secondary schools :-

Roughly how much do they need to score in SA(1), SA(2) tests ?
Is it above 85, above 90 or above 95 marks, per subject ?

Because if Total score below 250 :-
Will end up in Secondary "O level" track.

perhaps Top 40 Mainstream students based on P4 (English, Maths, Science)
Year end results enter class 5E, while Top #41 to #80 ranking go to class 5F.

most EF will get 26+ in PSLE, some from other mainstream classes will do well in PSLE too… i’m sure there are more than just 80 very bright girls in the mainstream… is just that the sch can only cater 80 seats in EF…

                        Thanks !
                        You're welcome 🙂

                        for \"IP\" track -
majority of our girls target RGS Secondary.
Most of our (P, Q, R) 3 classes of GEP girls will DSA (Direct Secondary School admission) into RGS Sec first,
Although minority of our Mainstream girls also managed to DSA into RGS too, some via Sports.
Some may aim for Nanyang Girls' High, or NUS High.
                        NJC also popular !

                        For \"O level\" track (if child is a Singapore citizen ) :-
MGS Secondary is the most expensive : at $355 per month, together with SCGS Sec At $300 per month school fees.

In contrast, Cedar and CHIJ St Nicholas Secondary are affordable to many parents at $23 and $28 per month, respectively.

Last year 2013 P6 batch (born 2001) performed very well !
48 % of our girls obtained 250 and above.
                        48 % is no mean feat, because 48 % is very close to 50 % !
Means almost half the P6 cohort
can enter Secondary 1 \"Integrated\" program curriculum, scored above 250.
Most of them come from (P, Q, R, E, F + a few other P6 classes who had done extremely well)

                        The balance of 52 % (below 250) went \"O level\" track.
They went Crescent, CHIJ Toa Payoh, Tanjong Katong Girls, St Margaret, plus other Sec schools.
