anyway i’ve gone thru the enopi website and find the basic math portion quite similar to kumon while the critical thinking (at the lower level) looks like assessment books. so wil stick to kumon for the time being until such time that my dd screams no more! :!:

My ds had been with Enopi since he was 4.5 yrs and this in P1, he is progressing faster than his peers as thanks to Enopi as this programm allows self learning of the kid at their own comfortable pace. The teacher do teaches, they teaches concept and make sure that the students understand and apply accordingly. They do provide revision for some of the tougher topics unlike Kumon nor MPM doesn't. What I like abt the program was the Critical thinking which is heuristic learning which is gaining its popoularity in school. They teaches layer hierarchical structure unlike MPM which is spiral. So far my ds gain a lot from the program and it provides him with a strong confidence headstart to P1 🙂

Yes, I agree. I started my K1 beginning of this year. I hope that by the time she goes to P1, she is \"invincible\" Just kidding. So far she has been pretty motivated to complete her worksheets. The worksheets also helps to train her on her writing skills.

My older kids are in the program and yes, they are ahead in terms of their learning but need revision since they cover some topics much earlier.

              Hi parents,

At 1st, i will like to enrol my DD in MPM but now i change my mind to e.nopi as i found that the critical thinking is very useful to them like June had said. Anybody in Jurong east branch?

foreverj: Basically the layer hierarchical structure means that the child learn addition, subtraction, multiplication and division whereas MPM spiral means u learn all at the same time which might causes some confusion i feel as when they are older, they need to know the order of operations eg: which one to do first. 🙂

                  Hi,

Can anyone share with me the diffferences between
                  1. Enopi
                  2. MPM
                  3. Montessori Math (hands on)
                  4. CMA (mental calculation)
                  5. Kumon ( this is drilling method)

The result, the way of teaching and what really works?

                  Appreciate a lot.

                      Hi,

I am also a mum who enrol my kid in Enopi math. The reason i enrol him is also due to critical thinking worksheet that can further enhanced him in the future learning where during my time it does not have this kind of teaching.

yes i love the critical thinking bit too as i feel the school are focusing a lot on such heuristic learning and this could help them in future in terms os pattening, spacial reasoning 🙂
