I notice that every time when singapore beats hk in any survey, the comments made by them are

              A) singapore has no freedom, everything also listen to govt, speak out against govt will definitely be jailed etc. I do agree to some degree.

              B) anyone who writes simplified Chinese is 文盲。so we are 文盲 and no culture because we don't embrace 繁體字。

              C) mock our accent and singlish.

              D) best of all, besides chewing gum ban, there is also a soft drink ban nationwide (we are not allow to drink coke because we are getting too fat) 😆 . Seriously, I saw the latter being mentioned a few times in different threads on different forums. Such drinks are banned in schools but not national wide lah. :slapshead:

Singaporeans are very 乖, so whatever law, just follow law.

Paparazzi is not scary here unlike in hongkong.
Don’t expect big strikes…will lead to serious consequences.
Yes, we are often criticized for using simplified Chinese…不够文化.

It is a matter of time before HK adopt simplified Chinese because of China.

hong kongers and Taiwanese are the only 2 countries using traditional Chinese...and they pride themselves as being 文化. we are criticized for using simplified (considered 'mass market') and also hanyu pinyin.

hong kongers have no qualms showing up on the streets to show their displeasure in huge numbers.

We need to move with the times. If ROC is ruling China instead of PRC, they may also adopt Simplified Chinese too.

Showing up on the streets - this happen in almost every where.
