Totally agreed. Bak Kwa is one of my fav food, but I usually don't buy during CNY period. I prefer to wait till the crowds have disappeared.

Yes, the Q can be quite crazy especially near CNY, better eat it at other times of the year.

Maybe also because near CNY period, people becomes more conscious its existence. Another item is yusheng. The ingredients are not uncommon but we eat it only during CNY.

I suppose that is what CNY is all about, eating certain things that's associated with it! :lol: No wonder prices go up during CNY!
