My son is 2009 born i want know how on wat basis they get primary school

If they r singaporean and within 1km ll they get the seat directly or there ll be balloting

When it's time for p1 registration, parents decide which school they want but need to consider several factors for their decision. Once have the school(s) in mind, need to know the phase(s) you qualify and balloting history to determine chance of getting in.

The above is not updated yet for 2014 P1 registration for 2015 intake, the part of vacancies being put aside for P2B and P2C is not updated too. But good enough to serve as an overview of the phases.

When you know which phase(s) you qualify, you can read the registration balloting history of the school(s) that you are interested in below.

Knowing the phase you qualify and the balloting history, you will more or less have a good guage of your chances and plan accordingly.

You are welcome. If possible, get a school within 1km from your residence. You will understand why after your child goes to Pri 1. The first episode advise parents to get a school near to the home.

I am under the Phase 2C and is outside the 2km range.
Not sure if the chances of getting in is high.

Balloting was conducted for SC children residing within 1km of the school.

Thanks for the reply.
I would also like to check if I am eligible for SD to register my child using my mother’s address within the 2km if my mother is working.
Although she is working, but it is her who is helping me to bring my child back from childcare as me and my husband usually works late.
And my younger girl is also at the same childcare with his brother which is near NVPS.

Hi, your mother cannot be working if you intend to apply for SD (Statutory Declaration). One of the criteria is grandparents not suppose to work.
