Dear parents of Sec 1 boys,

In addition to the packing list the school gave, here's what I thought of. Not all of these pertain to my son's packing list, but you might find the extended list useful for your individual child's needs:

      - slippers
      - track shoes and extra socks
      - phone and charger
      - Ezlink card
      - cash
      - locker key
      - small pillow (for kids who are side sleepers)
      - snacks
      - panadol / plasters (school first aid kit should have these but just in case)
      - insect repellent
      - rosary, etc.
      - small flashlight

Anything I forgot, please add on. Cheers! Looking forward to the camp! :rahrah:

Thanks, kafer! To save parents' time, I got this picture of him from trawling the ksp thread you sent:

            http://forums.vr-zone.com/chit-chatting/314274-news-they-call-him-the-bishan-gay.html

Btw, I saw ANOTHER guy the other day at Junction 8. Not sure how often he frequents the place. Also middle-aged...looks Indian or Eurasian. Tall and lanky with rough complexion. Used to go by the name of Johnny and used to be a watch salesman who would go to schools to sell watches to staff members. (Not sure if he still does that but I saw him at the school I teach at - in 2012 - still selling watches to teachers! I did alert the school to his transgressions.)

This guy made the news several years ago for MOLESTING a boy (boys?). I've pointed him out to my son. Looks like we now have another one to watch for... :nailbite: :scared: :yikes:

Hi. My DS said he has been short-listed for a sports and thus cannot choose another CCA as first choice. Is this true? Sports CCAโ€™s training is 3 times a week. Not sure if he can cope with school workload and practices.

Dear parents, anyone can explain how does the level two learning that the boys are required to attend in term2 works. Does it mean these are additional lessons and they will be required to stay back? Wonโ€™t it clashes with their CCA? I am also confused about how the AU units work.

According to my DS, the form teacher will provide more information during PSE period........

I think if the student does HMT and pass, then would get exemption from Chinese in Year 5/6. But due to IB group 2 requirement, the student would have to study another language (e.g. Malay or French at the Beginners level)

If the student does not do HMT or do not pass then the student would have to take Chinese in Year 5/6 as part of the MOE MTL policy and at the same time fulfil the IB group 2 requirement. Do correct me if its wrong.
