Is it true that even if DS is exempted from MT, SJI still requires student to study MT?

Don't think so for Year 1 to Year 4.

But Year 5 and 6 the student would still need to do a IB Group 2 Subject which could be a foreign language at the beginners level in this case if the child had been exempted from MTL in Secondary School.

So if pursuing 4-year program, there’s no need to take up MT again, right?

Provided the student got exemption from MTL from MOE. Anyway I think those with no MTL would only have problems getting into SAP schools where everyone would need to offer Chinese.

Otherwise all other schools should be the same, the exemption from Primary school should carry on into Secondary School.

When comes to upper secondary level… Average how many subjects the student will have to take (no HMTL)? Min. 7 or 8?

Most would do around 7 to 8 subjects for O Levels with or without MTL.

The student can choose 6, 7 or 8 subjects.

                        Dear SJI Parent

Do you have any good HCL tutor to recommend ? My son is in Sec 3 and I am urgently looking for a 1to1 tutor for him. I would prefer recommendation instead of agent. Please PM me if you can recommend. Thanks in advance.
