We usu celebrate V Day aft as you know, the inflated px etc ... This yr was no exception.

My attempts to cook a nice candlelight din din with with the intention of leaving DS at ILs failed cuz they had to attend to something that cropped up unexpectedly. So I thought this yr will be a no go.

However, DH surprised me by buying me a handbag and making reservations for dinner at EL Torro. Aft that we went to watch 12.00am movie \"Valentine's Day\" at Cathay - all done yesterday nite. It was a nice nite out together.

I stopped buying him gifts ever since became a SAHM. But I find other creative ways to 'gift' him. πŸ˜‰

Errrrrmmm like cooking dinner (nice elaborate one, making cards etc ...) πŸ˜„

p.s The only grouse DH had was that aft painstakingly setting up hi-fi system at home, he felt that it was no shiok watching movies in the cinema anymore. πŸ˜„

I remember, dh remember, my kids remember but none of us make the effort to celebrate this year. Me, concused after days of over work, dh too. But there is definitely lots of hugs, kisses and well wishes between the 4 of us. So nothing commercialize for us this year except a dinner out but then we are so exhausted, it does not seem to be much point in lingering around.

The last 3 years or so were a blur cuz DH was v v busy with his job ie long erratic hrs and all, but aft he switched early last year, things have become better πŸ˜„

I remembered during JC days, the SC will put out roses for sale.

                      Is it still being practised?
