All About Full-Time Maids

I got my maid recommended by one of the forumers here, good agent I would say.

previously i took a fresh indon maid, first i did not allow her to use HP, but gave her a calling card to use my land line, she was not smart, but once she started to mix with my neighbours maid and going out with her on her off day ,different stories happen, my son once told me " aunty tell me take her photo outside the door " so when i asked her she said her friend gave her a phone which was spoilt and can take photos only so i just didn’t harp on it

She started telling me soon that when she go shop, got uncles at coffee shop always ask her for number, my maid is plump and note pretty ,from her face can see she is lazy type. Well one day she was in the bathroom, i checked her phone,and saw,in my bathroom, she took photos of herself in bra, her breasts ,and even her below parts. so disgusting…

When i ask her to go down, she will always bring the phone along,when i ask for the phone to be given to me, she refused and i sent her back to my previous agent, now i got the maid from the new agency ,experienced but no HP

Hi, need a bit of advice…

My mynmar maid with us for 3.5yr, requested to go bk for 1 week which we allowed last mon…
Supposed b back today, but didn’t turn up at airport!
I look thru her documents, then realised I forgot to pass her the tax payment document which was issued,when she renew her passport at mynmar embassy last year…
I remember reading somewhere that this document has to be produced, when they clear custom st mynmar airport, before they can board the plane? ??
Is it still required?
Can any1 clarify on this??

Can’t you contact her and find out what’s the matter?

Sometimes maids say that they will be coming back, when they don’t intend to.
Sometimes, they may have gone home with the intention of coming back but things change and they decide not to come back.

She does not have a hp..and her house no tel..

I only have her neighbour's tel..& they do not understand english!
My hubby waited for her at airport for 2hr
He say never mind..accept that she is not coming back..coz if anything happens, the least she could have done is call us from there. ,
so is very obvious she not coming back..unless something drastic happen to her, which I hope not..
We will go maidless from now on..
Big adjustment and challenge.!
& abrupt..
disappointed as we told her many times, even if don't wana work anymore, tell us upfront, so that we can be prepared..

I believe she needs the proof that the tax was paid or she may hv to pay again. Why dont u send it to her and see whether she responds, maye she went blur not knowing that tax was paid.

If she can't leave her country because you forgot to pass her the tax payment document which was needed at the checkpoint, it is hardly her fault, right?


If she lives miles away from the airport, I am more worried abt her trying to find her way home especially if she is alone and don't have much money with her.

Even if you send her the documents, she won't have the money to buy a new ticket. Who is going to pay for this new ticket?

You can always go to the agency and see if they could help you with the call.
If someone in the agency can speak the language, just use your hp to call and sort things out.

I checked with my friend’s maid who is fm mynmar and just went home visit last dec…

No need the tax payment document…
And realised there were signs that she is not coming back…
she took every single piece of clothing with her this time…
And i helped her remitted S$2k and changed s $500 cash to mynmar currency…
She should have $ to call us…
Anyway, surprisingly I am not angry with her, just disappointed that she was not upfront and caught us off guard.
Still feel thankful for her help for past 3.5yr
And hope is not coz something bad happened to her…
Planned to bring her go USS in june and Bangkok in nov…lucky I haven’t bought air tickets yet…somehow, has hunch that I should not book 1st…
told myself to wait for her to come back 1st:)

Well said, if the maid can afford a $500 HP, she can afford her own data plan. They can afford a lot of things, don't be surprised if they can also find a lot of boyfriends to provide them all these things.

That is sooo true!!! My current maid also bought an Ace 3 and using FB like nobody's business. Heard from my friend's maid that my maid told her that her bf will give her money.... Since I'm in the process of sending her back, so I can't be bothered to restrict her anymore...sigh....also recently discovered her photos on FB posing intimately with Bangladeshi man when she told me that she had a BF at home.

Just curious, what do u do if ur maid constantly damage yr good things burn yr clothes especially the good expensive stuff n not tell u about it.

The things that everyone of my maids damage is the iron and vacuum cleaner! :mad: I don't know why but it seems like everytime I change a new maid I have to change a new iron or vacuum cleaner...

I have maids who damage my expensive clothing and its either they hide the entire thing from me until I start asking or they simply throw it away!...I ever made my maid pay for the damaged item and she was very unhappy and complained to her agent, saying that her money is hard-earned and not for me to anyhow deduct! Got the cheek to say such things! As if my money is not hard-earned and she can just go on and damage everything and I have to pay to buy new ones? :mad:
