When my girl was in YMCA student care last year.. . For first few days, everyday I called the driver HP and asked him whether arriving soon or what time to go down and wait. So whenever he was early he called my hp.

This year , my girl is taking the another bus home as I have changed the student care to near to our home. On first day of school , called the driver to inform him to look up for my girl as she is first time taking his bus and make sure he knew where to drop her. To be kiasu ,even took half day leave on 4 Jan and went down to her school during their dismissal time, went to look up for her school bus no to make sure she boarded the right bus and also spoke to the driver juz to make sure he got the alighting address right. Luckily for her there are two other girls going to the same student care. Now that CCA started, my dd told me sometime there are very few girls in the bus .
Thanks ! So much follow up works require for this...=(

Last year didn't encounter much problem....

        Hi Mummies

Need some feedback on St. Margret’s. How are the teachers and school system? Are they focusing only on academic or have an overall approach from academic, sports, arts, values, etc?

I have shortlisted St. Margret and Paya Lebar Methodist. My gal born in 2006 and understand that I should start to register for PV (if need be) this year.

          Hi everyone,

My daughter will be starting her primary school education at St Margaret's next year. My husband and I met the principal and we were happy when she said P1 children have no homework. She said the first year is quite traumatic already -- longer hours, etc. -- and she didn't want to add to the stress.

Frankly, I think this is great. My daughter already cries when she has to do her K2 homework and studying. Work should be done in school. Studying for tests/exams can be done at home, but there has to be time for play too.
          Hi,

I am intending to register my dd at St Margaret Pri this July.
Please share with me some of your experience?
Did you apply through phase 2B?
I will be under 2C (within 1-2km), wonder whats the chances.

How is your dd liking the school for the first few weeks?
what is the school hours like?

Hope to hear from you Thanks in advance!

Hi fruiteller, it shld be pretty safe if you're staying within 2km. However, if you're able to get into phrase 2b, why not? Save the headache juz in case this year something extraordinary happen compare to history 😉

We had balloting for those outside 2km last year. So far, my gal enjoys her school and hasn't hear any complaints fm her yet.

Pupils are to reach school by 7.30am and flag rising is at 7.40am. Lesson will start at 7.55am. School ends at 1.25pm.

              Hope the information helps.

                  Hi P1 mummies,

is the zoo trip next Thurs or Fri? DD kept telling me that it should be Fri and that there is a printing error on the letter.

                  Is that true?

Should be Thursday, mine didn’t say anything about any error. If there is a mistake, I’m sure the school would inform us.

                        ok, thanks!

The weather’s terribly hot these days. Guess I will pack an apple (cold), some sandwich and snacks (e.g. rice crackers) that she can share with her friends and loads of water!

hmmm…maybe I’ll get her to bring a hat along too in case it gets too hot.
