I have noticed that men usually would like to work as long as possible. They will feel so bored n useless if you ask them to stay at home. Its not that they need the $$$ but rather to keep their minds n bodies busy.

Whereas for us, women, its different (for me, I suppose). I would much prefer to spend my twilight years doing what I couldnt do in the past when working. It will be a more meaningful end to my stay on earth.
      I agreed.
I have quite a few male colleagues after retiring, embark on another career, not for the sake of $$ as they have plenty.
I would prefer to have more ME time.

Started my ME time with a 5km run after sending DS to school. Feels so energised after morning exercise.

Am age 46 now and counting down to age 55.
I have been telling myself after age 55, I will take work easy so as to have more ME time before I regret and who knows, I may fire my boss...

DH and I figured full Me time starts only when DS is done with Uni. So, I would be 55! OMG!

Maybe we should start a new thread - FULL TIME Me Time and whoever is planning/countdown can pop in here.

We can give each other motivation to work towards this goal.

                  😉

just the other day, hubby said he wished the kids grow up faster...sec 2 and p4 now...other than having to nag them to eat faster, bathe faster, get their work done and sleep everyday, I am very happy with the ME time from 630am to 1230pm.

Am 42 this year...taking calcium and glucosamine supplements to keep bones and joints working :xedfingers:

am merely taking the common multi-vitamins.
When kids are young, we want them to grow up faster. When kids grown up, we want them to remain as toddlers.
Just the other day, I asked dd if she remembered the days when I went to the wet market while her daddy brought her to playground to \"inspect\" the swings & slides.

when kids are grown up, it means I am also older…which means more aches.

i’m happy with the way things are presently.
