Hi markfch, when your son is in P3, you can encourage him to join the Boys Brigade CCA too. It serves to:
Thanks IJJ, what you said is quite reassuring to me. At least in a small way I did my part to get DS the opportunity to receive good Christian education.IJJ:
Great! That was why mine was landed in pei hwa. According to my child, during assembly, they have time of worship, which they sing praises and pray. Once week, there is a 30 mins period of Christian Value lesson. During recess, there is a group of Glory mommies who will solicit prayer needs and announce for anyone who is interested to pray. Last year, her FT, who is also a Christian, lead whoever willing to pray before exam. And everywhere in the school compound, there are bible verses to remind and encourage the pupils.
- To help him develop and grow in Christian character
- To train him to become loyal and responsible citizens
- To promote physical fitness and develop leadership potential -
My kids are in a Christian kindergarten although we are not Christians. In fact my son refused into the temple when he was in K1. As for my daughter, she is asking many questions about religion now.
I’ve got no problems about my kids in Christian school and will leave the decision to them. I was in a Catholic school (convent school), and so hubby and I are thinking of putting younger one in my former school. -

Or there is a Christian Fellowship, which is a CCA too. I am not sure if this CCA takes in from P1, some do. HTH!Hi markfch, when your son is in P3, you can encourage him to join the Boys Brigade CCA too. It serves to:

My dd settled in to PH very quickly bcos it was very similiar to her church Kindy. Her favourite part is singing familiar worship songs which she sings in Sunday school too. Pei Hwa, being a mission school was also why we had decided to volunteer and thus by God’s grace, she entered the school after balloting.

E3,
You had to ballot under Phase 2B ? I’m glad your daughter got into Pei Hwa. My son liked his pastor very much when he was in P1 - Mike Manning. In fact, I have a good feel each time I walk into the school to buy books or for Parent-teacher meetings.
IJJ,
My neighbour’s son takes Christian Fellowship which is every Fri. This year (P5) he is the buddy for two P1 kids for 1 week. -

Anyone knows what are the activities conducted for the Girls Brigade? I am considering letting my dd take part next year. -
E3,
Balloting is very thrilling, but if you have done PV, the school will try very hard to let the child in. That was what the prev principal told us...bcos the school recognizes the effort and time put in by the parents and that being a Christian school, they want to do their part too
Hubby has a few colleagues who went on to have 3rd child since their oldest is in Pei Hwa. -

i think the objective is quite similar to the Boys Brigade. you can check it out at http://www.gb.org.sg/ for more information. They both focus on the 4 components: physical, spiritual, social and enrichment.E3,
