          Hm… Qing Ming quite late this year. Normally in March. But I don’t normally go. Leave that duty to DH. DC and I stay at home.

              Not true. It has always been 1st week of April so far if my memory is rite.
              If not, it will be in late March.

                Qing Ming is a solar festival and is always on 4 or 5 April.

                  This is what happens when a person doesn’t actively participate. DH will just tell me he will be making his round on a particular weekend and that’s all the info I have.

                    april to june is generally a hot period in Singapore.

                    my mum just commented on her confinement period when she had me.
                    all the ginger and not allowed to switch on fan.

                      True. My family doesn't participate either, and neither do my in-laws, so I never noticed earlier. But I lived in China for years and that's when I realised that it's at the same time every year, especially after it became a public holiday!
