Does anyone have recommendation for orthodontics with reasonable charging :? I heard that 11~15 years old is the best age for orthodontic treatment. Would like to bring my child for the treatment.

I live in Serangoon area. AMK, Bishan, Thomson is convenient but I am willing to travel if the dentist is really good but not all the way to the west and if its on the eastern side, only up to east coast area.

            TIA šŸ˜„
            hi autumnbronze,

I used to go to Family Dental. he's in AMK. Nice doctor, very cheap rates...my only beef (that's why it's \"used to\") is the long wait time and he's fairly far for me. To get around having to wait, I try to schedule for bright and early in the morning, or just after lunch.

Can call to enquire about rates.

                hey autumnbronze,

No worries. I used to endure the long waits by telling myself that it's cos he's cheap and good....

Nowadays the rates can be horrendous. DS1 had a wobbly tooth...I asked - this 'famous' clinic was going to charge me $70 for that simple extraction!! DH was going to resort to pliers....

oh no....ended up found a last minute one at Bedok...walk in customer - completed in 10 min. Luminos (Chai Chee)....quite ok, but somehow we've only gone there to extract DS1's wobbly teeth....$30 for that simple extraction.

The interesting bit is...thus far happen twice already, just 1-2 weeks before the kids' Sch dental service appointment, one tooth will be super wobbly - new one will be peeking out....super sianz....$60 down the drain liao ($30 each time). If only tooth can wait. 😢

Thats why this cliche saying \"you can't fight against nature\" is so apt in your case šŸ˜„

Hallo, you live in the east issit?? How come you went all the way to AMK?? He must be good??

Anyway, I have a budget, since its refitting I hope it won't be more than $800, cuz thats what my old dentist quoted me a yr back.

Twice in a row! I wish I were that lucky with toto/4D. šŸ˜‰

oh no...staying around Geylang area. He's good. Though I had a funny (scary?) experience. During cleaning once, he was busily chatting with the nurse on upcoming holiday (airtickets and all). I didn't dare open my eyes cos I don't want to know if his eyes were on the nurse or me....no damage done in my mouth - just my nerves only.
